Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze and substantiate the features of the development of information support for logistics processes in trade during 2020–2024 under conditions of technological shifts, market turbulence, external shocks, and organizational and financial constraints, as well as to determine the role of digital solutions in enhancing the adaptability and efficiency of trading companies. Research methodology. The study employs systemic and structural–functional approaches to the analysis of logistics information support. Methods of comparative analysis, generalization, factor grouping, and logical modeling are used to identify key groups of influencing factors. The theoretical framework is based on modern concepts of digital logistics, supply chain management, and information systems in trade. Results. It is substantiated that the development of information support for logistics processes in 2020–2024 occurred under the complex influence of six interrelated groups of factors. It is proven that technological progress and the growth of e-commerce generated increased demand for scalable and adaptive logistics information systems. It is established that external shocks and market instability acted as catalysts for accelerated digitalization, stimulating the implementation of real-time analytics and automated management solutions. It is shown that organizational and human resource constraints limited the depth of adoption of advanced digital technologies, while the growth of investments in 2023–2024 contributed to the transformation of digital solutions into a source of logistics cost optimization. It is proven that strategic and institutional conditions ensured the systemic nature of digital modernization and its orientation toward European standards. Practical significance of the research results. The practical value of the obtained results lies in their applicability by trading companies to substantiate directions of digital modernization of logistics, improve the efficiency of information systems, optimize costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience under conditions of instability. The results may be used in strategic planning of digital development in trade and logistics, as well as in the formation of sectoral and regional digital transformation programs.
